As reported in last week’s Ross Gazette, Evie Robbins who is ten years old and from Ross-on-Wye, completed a six mile sponsored bike ride recently.

The bike ride, which took place on July 14th in the Forest of Dean, aimed to raise money to help save an endangered species, the Pangolin.

Evie Watkins, who is 11 years old, has also been fundraising for the pangolins, but sadly was unable to take part in the bike ride due to illness. Their younger sister Layla Watkins, who is eight years old, replaced her on the day!

Evie Robbins said: “We rode eight miles on our bikes and are very pleased that we have achieved what we wanted to. We hope that what we have done for the pangolins will inspire others to do the same and that hopefully the pangolins will stay the world’s scaliest mammal for a lot longer.”

The girls have now raised just over £400 and are sending the money to restnambia.org and savepangolins.org, which are both pangolin charities.
