A WOMAN escaped with minor injuries after a fence post went through her windscreen following an accident on the M50 near Gorsley.

An ambulance was called to the exit slip road of junction 3 at Gorsley at around 1pm. A spokesman for the ambulance service said: "On arrival at the scene crews found a car that had left the road and been in collision

with a fence. "The woman driving the car, believed to be in her

20s, suffered serious neck and shoulder injuries and was treated at the scene."During the collision a fence post went throught he windscreen of the car, but luckily on the passenger side. "The woman could have

suffered more serious injuries if it had been on the driver side."

She was taken to Hereford County Hospital for further treatment.
