Gwent Police have charged a 44-year-old man with possessing an imitation firearm, affray and assault after carrying out a warrant at an address near the quiet rural village of Skenfrith.
The man was arrested at the scene around noon on Thursday, January 12.
He has also been charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and assaulting an emergency worker and was remanded in custody.
