A man who had fallen near to St Dubricius Church at Whitchurch was taken to hospital by members of West Midlands Ambulance Service.
A spokesperson for WMAS told the Ross Gazette that the report of someone falling on the banks of the River Wye was received at 9.13am on Sunday, March 10th. They sent an ambulance and a paramedic officer and the patient was on the river bank when they arrived. Crews from Whitchurch Fire Station and Ross Fire Station also attended and assisted in bringing the patient to the ambulance.
He was given an initial assessment and his injuries were not thought to be serious, he was then transported to Hereford hospital for further assessment
