DAVE Lowe, an optical assistant at Specsavers in Gloucester Road, Ross, took part in the Bristol Half Marathon on Sunday, September 5th and raised £200 for Cancer Research UK. He joined thousands of other athletes taking part in the 13.1 mile run, which started and finished at Bristol's historic Harbourside.
Mr Lowe says: 'It's the first time I've entered the Bristol Half Marathon and I managed to complete it in two hours and eight minutes, so I was delighted. I trained for nine months and have managed to raise nearly £200, so all the hard work has definitely paid off. I'd like to thank everyone that has sponsored me.'
