The Marches Military Wives Choir were joined by choirs from Ashfield Park, Goodrich and Gorsley Goffs Primary schools, on Saturday, May 7th. The evening was organised by the Ross Branch of the Royal British Legion, who wish to apologise to all who were unable to get tickets.

Margaret Jones, the Secretary of the Branch, told the Ross Gazette that the evening had been widely advertised and proved very popular with all age groups and sadly many people were disappointed they could not attend.

The Marches Military Wives are one of seventy Choirs which have been created following the TV series with Gareth Malone – and the Children’s choir was presented by their Musical Director Jenni Axtell who had spent many hours visiting each school – the result was amazing.

The audience was very impressed and appreciative of all the hard work which had gone into creating such a wonderful evening.

It was the final official event for the outgoing Mayor and Mayoress - Cllr Colin Gray and his wife Ann – Mr Graham Aplin (Chairman) presented flowers thanking them both for their support throughout the two years they had been in office and wished them every happiness in the future.
