COUNCILLOR David Ravenscroft was sworn in for another year at the helm of Ross Town Council on Monday evening (May 21st) at the Larruperz Centre. There was change around for the Deputy Mayor as Cllr Chris Bartrum takes over from Cllr Utting. James Lillwall will be the Mayor's Cadet for the next year.

In his address to the audience Cllr Ravenscroft gave special thanks to Cllr Utting for her help over the last year, and to town Clerk Denis Mason and assistant Town Clerk Rachel Lewis for their efforts to help the council achieve quality status. SAAFA will be his chosen charity again this year and he was delighted to hand over a cheque of £5,000 to a representative.
