The Mayor of Ross-on-Wye, Councillor David Ravenscroft attended the annual general meeting of the Ross and District Leg Club on January 26th.

Councillor Ravenscroft witnessed Mrs Pauline Kent, the incoming chairman taking over from Mr Dennis Robbins, who has held the position for many years. A new committee was elected.

Ross and District Leg Club meets every Thursday at Henry Street Church between 10am and 12.30pm. It is open to any local resident with any kind of leg problem. District nurses are in attendance and they are supported by volunteers.

New members are always welcome at this vibrant club, which not only helps with the physical need but it also a very sociable event. The members believe it is vital to keep it going for Ross as it prevents social isolation. Anyone with any kind of leg problem is welcome to drop in or patients can be referred by their GP.
