MADAM, This letter is to warn readers about drivers on mobility scooters.

I can understand that some of the older generation use these facilities for their own independence, however, they do need to pay more attention.

I had an 'incident' today with a man on a mobility scooter, who drove off the pavement into my path when I was driving. He did not look to see if there was any traffic coming.

I had my 12 year old son with me and it disturbed us both. I have also heard of some pedestrians being in a collision with a mobility scooter. This is not the first time I have seen a near miss. Surely there is something that can be done before anything serious can happen
