Morgan and Molly, two Ross-on-Wye school girls, had their long locks chopped off on Tuesday, July 19th, to donate their long hair to the Little Princess Trust.
Between them, nine-year-old Morgan and eight-year-old Molly, have also raised more than £1000 to donate to the Hereford-based charity, which provides wigs to children who have lost their hair due to illnesses, such as Cancer.
The Little Princess Trust, in addition to producing wigs made from donated hair, also purchases extra wigs, made from real human hair, in order to keep up with demand.
Hairdressers at Peter Charles in High Street, Ross-on-Wye cut Molly and Morgan’s hair free of charge, as the girls were donating their hair to the Little?Princess Trust.
Morgan’s mum, Rosy, told the Ross Gazette: “We’re still amazed at the amount they have donated and raised. Very proud parents is an understatement!”
The hair cut was a big change for both girls, who had kept their hair long for their whole lives, but Morgan and Molly were both thrilled with their new hairstyles.
