A Country and Western-themed night has raised at least £10,000 for St Michael’s Hospice recently.
More than 200 guests crammed into Ewyas Harold Memorial Hall.
The event, organised by a band of volunteers, helped raise the money for the Hospice Angels fundraising group, and took place on the 80th birthday of Angels founder, Mike Pullin.
Guests enjoyed a meal, music, a bucking bronco, and an auction.
“It was a great night,” Mike commented. “I’d like to thank all those who helped organise the event. It was a very memorable and wonderful way to raise funds for the Hospice.”
Auction lots included a break at a holiday cottage in Lyme Regis, and corporate hospitality tickets for a Manchester United football match.
The evening means £64,000 has now been raised for St Michael’s by Mike so far this year. He hopes to raise £80,000 by the end of the calendar year, to mark his milestone birthday.
