There was a gathering of vintage cars near Ross-on-Wye on New Year’s Day, and also one on Friday, January 3rd.

The event was organised by local members of the Vintage Sports Car Club and it’s an annual free New Years Day gathering of (mostly) pre-war cars at Penyard House.

This was the first time it had been at Weston under Penyard, having previously been held near Much Marcle.

More than 100 cars are thought to have appeared on the day, ranging from humble little Austin 7s to several enormous Rolls Royce limos, and an exotic 1931 Alfa Romeo. Simon Lewis, who took the photographs on the right, told the Ross Gazette that all who attended had a really good time.
