To celebrate Beatrix Potter’s 150th birthday, the committee who organise the Ross Hedgehog festival, brought one of the author’s most-loved characters to life in Mrs Tiggy-Winkle’s Tea Trail.

Local families and visitors were invited to take part in the tea trail, which was held on Sunday, July 31st, between 10am and 2pm, at various businesses in Ross-on-Wye.

Refreshments were available along the route, and children and their parents enjoyed taking part in several activities along the Trail.

Participants in the tea trail also took part in a quiz, of which there were many lucky prize winners. These were as follows:?

Violet Fullwood won a Fair Trade gift from Friends Meeting House.

Ella Robinson won a knitted hedgehog from Globetrotters Coffee House.

Norah Biggs won a Mrs Tiggy-Winkle toy from Mandy Moos.

Emma and Sophie Williams won a cream tea for two at Hope Treasures Café.

Seb and Lottie Preston won a cream tea for two at Priory Coffee House.

Seren Bateman won a cream tea for two at Raglan House cafe and Guest House.

Golda and Seth Moore each won a small hedgehog toy.

These children and their parents can collect their prizes from the Ross Gazette office in Broad Street, either on Thursday, August 4th, or Friday, August 5th.
