THE weekend’s Much Marcle Steam Rally was much more than the event title suggests.
Huge crowds attended the rally which featured an array of steam traction engines, vintage tractors, classic commercial vehicles, vintage motor cycles and cars dating back to the 1920s.
The event also had a number of stationary engines on show with fairground organs giving the event a music backdrop.
Also on show were county crafts artists showing off their skills.
Chris Barnard, one of the event organisers said that they were delighted with the weather and said that one of its main attractions was the former showman’s engine making its first appearance.
He said that next year it will be the Steam Rally’s 40th anniversary and were looking to make it a very special event.
