Last week, the Ross Gazette reported that a local family are fundraising to get their son, Thomas Harrhy, a more suitable wheelchair. Since the publication, a member of the public has made an anonymous, very generous donation to the family.
David Harrhy, Thomas’ dad, was told that the man went into Ross-on-Wye Baptist Church on Monday, September 28th, where he explained he had read about Thomas, and his family’s fundraising efforts, in the Ross Gazette. He then handed over a cheque for £100.
David said: “We’ve had a couple of things like this recently, but this was especially generous. It shows how people are so community minded. It’s really nice, and we’re blown away.”
