The Herefordshire Community Foundation has received over £12,000 in donations so far following the launch of its Storm Dennis Flood Appeal. Thanks to the vital contribution of allpay, the Herefordshire based payment solution company, the Community Foundation is planning to give a pre-paid payment card to any household whose property in Herefordshire has been affected. Applications can be made by completing the form at www.herefordshirecf.org or telephoning 01432 272550
The payment card will be loaded with a one off amount which will hopefully alleviate some of the immediate impact of being flooded.
Frank Myers MBE, Chairman of the Herefordshire Community Foundation said,
“It is very reassuring to have the support of allpay, such a valuable employer in the county, and a leader in its field. Any resident of Herefordshire who has been flooded can apply for the initial emergency grant.”
Tony Killeen, Owner and Managing Director of allpay added: “As a proud Herefordshire based business, I am delighted we can support this fund. In addition to providing the means to give this money quickly, we will be adding our own donation and our charity committee will be running a fund raising event on Thursday. Our thoughts are with everyone affected.”
A spokesperson for the fund confirmed that they had already received an application for funds and expect to receive many more.
