The new Co-op supermarket in Ross-on-Wye, which is set to open on August 9th, held a promotional event on Monday, July 16th.
The event was held across the road from the new Co-op’s location, at The Plough Inn.
Staff from the Co-op, including the soon-to-be Manager of the Ross store, were offering free samples of cakes, crisps and strawberries and cream. They also spoke to members of the public about their thoughts on the new store, which were very positive, and where they lived in relation to the new supermarket.
They also discussed their plans to utilise the space within the store and to have a large selection of wine and cheeses, which they are hoping will entice people into the shop and encourage them to utilise the benefits of a Co-op membership card.
They are still looking to recruit local people to fill up job positions within the store.
