Herefordshire Council have repainted the double yellow lines at the bottom of Brookend Street, Ross-on-Wye, near the Aldi supermarket.

Plans to clarify the parking and waiting situation on the eastern side of Brookend Street, between Millpond Street and Station Street, were approved by the Council in mid 2018.

The repainted lines clarify the parking conditions which many residents contacted the Ross Gazette with queries about.

Beforehand, the lines were not visible, and merged with faint white parking bay boxes painted on the road; one resident even successfully appealed a Council issued parking ticket on the basis that it was unclear what the parking terms were.
