The Friends of Ross Hospital are delighted to announce the purchase of a new trolley for Ross Hospital.

All of the departments at Ross Hospital are able to put forward a request to The Friends of Ross Hospital if they need a new piece of equipment to benefit the patients at Ross Hospital.

Adele Woodhams, who is an Emergency Nurse Practitioner, requested this new trolley because the old one was falling apart.

The committee agreed to purchase this equipment at a cost of £3,600 because it was realised what a help it would be for patients.

It has been in use already, and Adele told the Ross Gazette: “It is multi-purpose, we can use it inside and outside. It can be used to bring patients in for their x-rays. It is much easier to manoeuvre, it tilts nicely, and is much better to use in an emergency than our other trolleys. We are so grateful.”

Jill Davies, Chairman of the Friends of Ross Hospital, said: “Every bit of equipment in the Minor Injuries Unit has been purchased through the Friends of Ross Hospital. We are keen for the supporters of the Friends of Ross Hospital to see how their money is being spent.”

The money used for necessities, like the new trolley, is raised from things like coffee mornings, the annual fete, and donations by the local community. See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now.
