The Reverend Lady Lisvane was sworn in as the new High Sheriff of Herefordshire at a special ceremony at the Shire Hall in Hereford.

The ceremony was presided over by The Honourable Mr Justice Haddon-Cave, Presiding Judge on the Midland Circuit, who took the opportunity of thanking the previous High Sheriff, Mr Bill Jackson for his work throughout the year and welcoming the new High Sheriff, Lady Lisvane and wishing her well during her year of office.

Ross-on-Wye was represented at the well attended ceremony, and amongst the guests from Ross was Mr Paul Deneen OBE JP DL who said: “I have known Lord and Lady Lisvane for many years and I am delighted that Rev. Lady Jane Lisvane has been appointed as High Sheriff.

“She has been actively involved in the Herefordshire community in a variety of roles for many years, and she will be an excellent ambassador for the County of Herefordshire," he added.
