Following the closure of Goodrich Post Office, there is good news for local residents as their branch will be re-opening in a new location.

On Friday, January 11th, 2019 a Post Office counter will open in Colts Garages Ltd, Bishopswood, Ross-on -Wye, HR9 5QX and it will be known as Bishopswood Post Office.

The new branch will be open from 7am to 9pm seven days a week

The Post Office is displaying posters in the new location to tell customers about the move. Although there is usually a consultation period defore a new branch opens, the Post Office is keen to restore services to this community as soon as possible, so they have decided to go ahead with the plans. However, they would welcome suggestions about specific aspects of the change particularly on the following areas:

Do you have any comments about access into the new premises?

Do you have any comments about access inside the new premises?

The Post Office will be accepting comments until Wednesday, January 2nd, 2019 and any comments received will be taken into consideration as they finalise the plans.

Mark Burch, of Colts Garages Ltd, told the Ross Gazette that he is delighted that this will be a further service the store will be able to offer the community.

He said: “The Post Office will be a great addition to the filling station and the local produce that we sell.”
