A new group, the Ross Tourism Association has been set up to help those who run businesses aimed not only at locals but visitors to the area.

William Wilding, an entertainer and one of the organisers of the River Festival in Ross two years ago, is the chair and Yolande Watson, the person who brought the hedgehog festival to Ross, have formed the group along with other members of ProRoss. There are already several members who are keen to spread the news about all that Ross has to offer to a wider audience.

They told the Ross Gazette that the group is in the very early stages and what they can achieve will be governed, to a certain extent, by how much funding they can attract. For now they are trying to make contact with all those who have an interest in attracting visitors, such as bed and breakfasts.

If you have any ideas about what Ross needs to do to attract more visitors then visit their new Facebook page called Visit Ross-on-Wye Tourism Association.
