The next Mayor of Ross is to be Councillor Jo Lane, daughter of Martin Morris who was Chief Reporter of The Ross Gazette for 40 years.

Councillor Lane, who was born and bred in Ross, is the current Deputy Mayor. She was nominated by the present Mayor, Councillor John Edwards, at Monday's Town Council meeting and she was elected unopposed.
