AN otter has been spotted on CCTV swimming in a wildlife reserve stream – some two miles from the River Wye.
Herefordshire Wildlife Trust posted: "A quick clip of the otter who visits Tretawdy Farm Nature Reserve.
"This reserve by the village of Llangrove is great for mammals with its stream, rough grassland, meadow and great hedgerows.
"It is managed by a brilliant team of volunteers who are continually improving the habitats for nature."
Peace hasn’t always reigned at Tretawdy though, after the previous owner evicted and disinherited her daughter following a High Court battle, before leaving it to HWT.
HWT then found themselves embroiled in a planning battle over a scheme to turn dilapidated barns into a holiday let, which was rejected by planners amid villagers’ fears of “wild parties”.
