Work to patch the road surface of Broad Street, from close to the junction with New Street, and Brookend Street which was to have taken place overnight on Friday, August 26th has been postponed.

Following comments from concerned members of the public, worried that one of the main streets in Ross would be closed during a Bank Holiday weekend, the work will now take place on Friday, September 30th, starting at 8pm and finishing by 6am on Saturday morning, October 1st.

The closure is to allow for patching work to the road surface to be carried out by Balfour Beatty and Tarmac, on behalf of Herefordshire Council.

Access to properties along this road may be restricted during the night, but traffic management operatives will be on hand to assist.

Letters detailing the change to the date for the work have been hand-delivered to many of the properties in the area affected. The work schedule may change in the event of unforeseen circumstances or adverse weather. All changes will be highlighted on the Advance Warning signs which are situated at both ends of the affected road.
