Following on from the Public Consultation on September 27th regarding the proposed residential development of a site at Greytree, Mr and Mrs Leney, of Brampton Road, have drafted a petition to oppose the inclusion of this land in the Ross Neighbourhood Plan and any potential development.
A team of local residents have been busy delivering a copy to every house in Greytree and collecting signatures to oppose the development.
The couple say: “Thank you to all of you for your help. Support has been overwhelming, with the major concerns being the potential development on open countryside which is beyond the settlement boundary and the increased traffic any such development would generate.
“Residents are not opposed to development per se but feel that this site is totally inappropriate. I would like to thank everyone for their support of the petition and will deliver all signed letters to Melvin Reynolds, Chair of the Neighbourhood Steering Group, Ross Town Council.”
Comments and questions about the proposed development should be made to Melvin Reynolds.See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now.
