The streets had been spruced up, shop windows had been decorated and luckily the rain held off when the Heart of England in Bloom Judges came to Ross.

They were met, on tuesday,July 20th, by members of Ross-in-Bloom at the Chase Hotel.  There were also many supporters and those who had been involved in preparing the town for the annual visit.

The Judges were taken by car on a journey around the area and stopped for a while to carry out the official opening of Pig's Alley.

They also visited the Scout and Guide headquarters to see the work that has been carried out on the garden.
