Plans are underway for a joint effort by several community interest groups in Ross-on-Wye, to put on a Christmas lunch on Christmas day for older and more vulnerable people to celebrate together.
EnviroAbility, Ross Baptist Church, The Peace and Hope Trust, Age Concern, The Royal Voluntary Service, and Ross-on-Wye Lions, have all come together to throw one big Christmas celebration in Ross.
Dennis Humble, general manager of EnviroAbility told the Ross Gazette: “We have all got together to turn it into one big happy occasion.”
As of yet, a venue has not been confirmed, as the organisers are not quite sure how many people are likely to turn up.
In previous years, when EnviroAbility and Ross Lions organised the lunch, an average of 70 people turned up; now they have merged with the other community interest groups, they are expecting more people than ever before.
