BORDEAUX Estates, Aldi, and LNT Care Developments have unveiled plans for a new, larger replacement food store and a state-of-the-art care home at the Wolf Business Park, Ross-on-Wye.

The proposals include a new Aldi store to replace its existing town centre site and enable a larger, modern store with an improved product range.

The proposed development also includes a purpose-built 66-bed care home, providing high-quality residential and dementia care.

The three organisations value community involvement when proposing new developments.

To this end, a community consultation is being held to gather insights from the local community before submitting a formal planning application to Herefordshire Council.

An in-person consultation event will take place on Thursday, July 23 at The Larruperz Community Centre in Ross between 2pm and 7pm, where visitors can meet the project team, view the plans, and ask any questions they may have.

The online consultation is now open to comments until midnight, Thursday, July 30.

● Another retailer, Lidl put forward a proposal for a supermarket at Wolf Business Park, but this was ultimately rejected by Herefordshire Council planners, and the scheme was later dismissed at a planning appeal in 2021.
