Herefordshire Council has approved plans for a new luxury glamping pod in the quiet hamlet of Aston Crews, near Ross-on-Wye.
The planning application, submitted by the residents of 1 White Hart Cottages under reference P262005/F, requested permission to erect a single glamping pod intended for short-term overnight guest stays.
Along with the pod, the development features associated wooden decking, accessible footpaths, and minor landscaping work. To maintain the rural character of the area, the proposal incorporates extensive planting of native shrub species throughout the plot.
Glamping specialist agency Glampitect Ltd prepared the proposal, which was formally validated in July 2026. Following a public consultation period during August and September, council officers officially granted approval with standard conditions on October 2, 2026.

The low-impact eco-tourism addition is expected to draw visitors seeking short stays in the South Herefordshire countryside.
