Local residents have the chance to see for themselves the proposals which the owners of the Chase Hotel, Ross-on-Wye, would like to put forward to Herefordshire Council in a planning application.

The Ross Gazette reported on January 9th that Camanoe Estates Limited will be closing the hotel on September 30th but, before they lodge their planning application they want to hear residents’ views on their plans.

There will be a public consultation and a drop-in event at the hotel today Thursday, January 17th from 2pm until 8pm.

Camanoe Estates Limited told the Ross Gazette that they have set up the website consultingyou.co.uk/chasehotel, as part of a process to seek community views on the proposals.

The owners intend to to keep the original house and convert it into apartments, while there may be three blocks of apartments to the rear of the house and five detached houses inside the tree lined end of Gloucester Road.

There will be around 100/120 apartments and these will include some affordable housing. Parking for apartment residents will be underground.
