The planning application for a Lidl store in Ross-on-Wye was withdrawn on Tuesday, October 2nd.
An application was made to Herefordshire Council on Wednesday, June 27th, 2018 for a Lidl store at Wolf Business Park.
The application requested full planning permission for the demolition of the existing Wolf Business Park buildings, and the erection of a new Lidl food store.
A Lidl spokesperson told the Ross Gazette: “We will be submitting another application, which will be within the next four weeks.
“We are committed to seeing the application through by working with Herefordshire Council, as well as working with Wolf Business Park to improve the employment prospects of the area.”
The owners of the Wolf Business Park in Ross-on-Wye had said that they were desperate to secure the required funding in order to redevelop the business park and secure its future. They say the capital receipt from selling part of the land to Lidl for a new food store was the only way they would be able to make the business park viable.See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now.
