A planning application for 38 new houses at Lea was once again refused when it came before Herefordshire Council on Wednesday, September 2nd. This development was refused in February this year, as it was considered an over-development for the village. Residents also had concerns about flooding in the village and road safety.
The applicant resubmitted the plan and has also taken the original decision to appeal.
Chair of the Lea Action Group, Steve Banner, spoke in opposition to the development, at the planning committee meeting, alongside Paul Fountain, Vice-Chair of the Parish Council.
The application was refused on the same grounds as previously.
