Councillor Andrew Atkinson reported that Amey had caught up with repairs to roads in Ross but people should keep sending requests for repairs so that they could be logged. He also praised Councillor Colin Gray, the resilience Officer, for his response to calls for assistance, particularly by the residents of Smallbrook gardens.

As the Council's representative at the Association of Ross Traders Cllr Atkinson suggested that he formally pass on the Council's thanks for the May Fayre to David and Yolanda McGregor.

He reported that the Town Team are currently working on ways to overhaul the town's markets, this will involve spending the £10,000 from the Portas scheme on new market stalls and marketing themed markets and festivals. The money will mainly be used on advertising Ross in the local area and further afield.

Cllr Atkinson also asked Councillors to consider how the Gordon Lucas memorial fund could be used. He reported that the family are keen the money is used for something lasting and possibly connected to education as Gordon was so passionate about it. Cllr Gray agreed to consult with the Ross Charities to see if they could suggest a lasting tribute.
