Police are considering a request from Ross Town Councillors to monitor speeds on Archenfield Road.
Several Town Councillors asked the Police Community Support Officer, Paul Davies about the issue at the Ross Town Council meeting, on Monday, October 9th. They said that there have been many complaints of vehicles speeding when they are travelling from the National Speed Limit into the 30 mile per hour zone.
They told PCSO Davies that there has been around 15 complaints, mostly regarding the nearby play area, as recently, a child was nearly knocked off their bike.
Warning signs may be put in place, but PCSO Davies also said that he will look into whether the road traffic orders can be changed so that the speed limit can decrease more gradually, giving drivers more time to be within the limit.
