Despite the chilly weather, a group of Lea Parish Councillors and local volunteers planted over 4000 native bulbs along the verges in The Lea on Sunday, November 2nd. The funding for the bulbs came from a generous grant from the Lea Residents Association and the Parish Council. The bulbs are the first to be planted under this new parish project and it is hoped that a similar number will be planted each year for the next few years.
