Dear Editor
You may have read about the latest Health Drive launched by Public Health England, in many ways a commendable attempt to get middle aged people fitter and thereby less of a drain on the NHS.
Unfortunately Herefordshire County Council operate a bizarre car parking charge system in Ross that sees Sainsbury’s customers reimbursed for their car parking when purchasing their basket of fizzy drinks etc whereas anyone using the Halo sports centre pays an admission charge as well as at least £1 to park in the public car park.
Might I suggest that the sincerity of the One You initiative would be enhanced if the Council introduced a similar car park charge re-imbursement system for the Sports Centre users?
