Madam, On behalf of all residents who use the footpath between Arundel Close and Blenheim, I would like to bring to your notice the excessive dog fouling that has gone on here for a few months.
A few residents have complained to the Highways Department, as a result of which some poor man has had the unenviable task of cleaning the complete length of the path, and penalty notices have been erected on lamp posts in Blenheim Close and in Arundel Close.
Prior to these complaints two residents cleared up the 'heaps' themselves, but it has all been to no avail as the 'heaps' still appear, causing us to pick our way through them.
There are many elderly people and children who, use this path and it is a hazard, to their health and safety should they slip and fall, or if children get 'it' on themselves it could lead to blindness.
We are so incensed by the irresponsibilty of this dog owner so if he/she reads this please will they give some consideration to all others who use this path. I expect the Highways Department will again have cleared the path for us, at our request, by the time this is published, but surely it is not too much to ask of whoever is responsible for the dog to clean up after it.
Incidentally, all who have complained about it are responsible dog owners themselves!
