Traffic on the A40 near to the Wilton roundabout at Ross-on-Wye was brought to a standstill on Monday, December 17th.

A call was made to West Mercia Police at 2.15pm regarding the safety of a 14-year-old boy.

Witnesses reported seeing a boy on the central reservation of the dual carriageway and several expressed a hope that he was unhurt following the incident.

Sirens were heard from several emergency vehicles as they made their way through Ross.

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police told the Ross Gazette that officers attended and the incident was safely resolved. They added that there were no injuries and no damage was caused during the incident.

After about 30 minutes the spokesperson said that the road was re-opened and traffic was reported to be flowing normally.
