The deadline to register to vote in the snap election is Monday, May 22nd.

Many people will be wondering if they need to re-register if they took part in last year’s local elections and referendum vote, but it is unlikely that you will have to register again, if you have not moved house since the last time you voted.

However, if you have not had a polling card for the forthcoming snap election, of June 8th 2017, sent to you via post, this may mean that you are not yet registered to vote.

To double check the electoral register, to find out whether you are registered to vote, you need to contact your local authority. Click here for more information. To register to vote, click here.
