The two Herefordshire Conservative MPs voted in favour of launching bombing raids in Syria, following a long debate in the House of Commons, on Wednesday, December 3rd.

MP Jesse Norman, who represents Hereford and Herefordshire South, and MP Bill Wiggin, who represents Herefordshire North, both voted in favour of the motion put forward by David Cameron, the Prime Minister.

Following the debate, RAF Tornado jets were deployed that same night, to carry out their first air strikes against Islamic State in Syria.

313 Conservative MPs voted in favour of the air strikes. Seven opposed the motion.

In total, the motion was carried with 397 MPs in favour, and 223 opposed.
