The three candidates in the Ross-on-Wye North Ward by-election, which takes place tomorrow (Thursday, February 25th), have been out campaigning this week.
Many residents have contacted the Ross Gazette because they are unsure of whether they should be voting or where they should vote.
The Town Council had not ordered poll cards to be sent to residents because they incur the costs. They would have had to pay for 2652, which is the number of electors in North Ward. The cost to produce, print and post out poll cards is approximately £1.00 per item.
However this has led to some confusion over just who is allowed to vote and also where they vote. The candidates who have been nominated for the election of a Parish Ward Councillor for the Ross-on-Wye North Ward have been trying to get this information out to residents through their election leaflets.
There are two polling stations for this election the Friends Meeting House, Brampton Street, Ross-on-Wye, HR9 7EQ and the Larruperz Community Centre, Grammar School Close, Ross-on-Wye, HR9 7QD.
People who live in the Greytree, Vaga, Mount Pleasant and Springfield areas of Ross need to use the polling station at the Friends Meeting House. Those who live on the Court Road side of the Ledbury Road, Overross Street, will need to vote at the Larruperz Centre.

Melvin Hodges, with his friends and Ross Labour volunteers, ran a street stall at the Ross Market House on Saturday.
Mr Hodges told the Ross Gazette that the main topic of conversation at the stall and on the doorstep was the lack of polling cards issued by the council. He said that he has delivered more leaflets explaining where people can vote in the last few days of the campaign.
