I have been a resident of Hildersley for 24 years. Originally from Essex, I moved here because of Ross’s beautiful setting and friendly people.

I’m standing for election to Ross Town Council because I want to make a difference, in the same way that Derek Bedford did, when he was a Councillor. In Ross we have been neglected by the County Council for as long as it’s been in existence. Our roads are a disgrace, potholes, ruts and worn out sections are left for months and years without repair. Weeds are allowed to flourish. Central government grant intended for the Town Council has been taken by the County.

Our County Councillors seem powerless to get anything done, even though their political party runs the County. Our hospital remains under threat of potential bed losses and now car parking charges, which would be a tax on the frail and the sick.

Elect me and I will fight for the good of the town, putting Ross first, second and third.

I will:

• Oppose any bed losses at our Hospital, or car parking charges

• Pressure the County to fix our roads

• Fight against the neglect of our town by “the powers that be” in Hereford.
