Every year the nation shows its support for the work of The Royal British Legion during their two week Poppy Appeal leading up to Remembrance Sunday and through their all year round fundraising.

The RBL is looking for an organised individual, a group, club or business to manage the Poppy Appeal in Walford and Goodrich. This year’s annual appeal will take place from October 28th until November 12th, but there is the opportunity to support fundraising events all year round.

The money raised through the Poppy Appeal goes directly to The Royal British Legion’s work providing support through life to anyone who is currently serving in the British Armed Forces, veterans, and their families.

The Legion uses your donations to support in so many ways including providing crisis grants, offering the children of Armed Forces personnel adventure breaks, researching the impact of blast injuries on the body, lobbying the government on key issues, and advising on benefits and money problems.
