JMC Monmouth LTD, one of the companies which supplies school transport for John Kyrle High School, and several local primary schools, ceased trading over the weekend.

John Kyrle High School told the Ross Gazette that they were able to send the school minibuses out to pick up pupils this morning but found that many of the parents had already been notified by drivers and made their own arrangements. Herefordshire Council is working towards finding a new provider

A spokeperson for Herefordshire Council said: “We were notified last night that JMC Monmouth Ltd has ceased trading. We’re working with local companies to ensure school transport continues to be provided for Brampton Abbotts, Bridstow, Goodrich, Gorsley Goffs, John Kyrle High School, Llangrove School, Monmouth Comprehensive and Whitchurch Primary School.

To discuss your child’s transport, contact the Schools’ Transport Team at Herefordshire Council.”
