RED GIANTS Hockey Club, which is linked to Ross Men's Hockey Club, has

growing squads which have hit an alltime high with just under 20 girls in the over 11 age group and over 25 boys and girls in the under 11 age group.

On Sunday afternoon the under 13 girls (predominantly) played in the central venue under 16 league. The 'development' squad was expecting two difficult matches against two teams on average three years older, Hereford and Kington. Their first match was especially difficult with Hereford coming out on top by 6 goals to 0. But the team learned a lot, and during their second match they held their positions well and made a few unsuccessful attempts on goal. The final score was 2 - 0 to Kington.
