A tent fire which took place during the Hedgehog Festival by the Riverside in Ross-on-Wye on Friday, September 16th at 16:58, left remains which are still yet to be cleared.

A Ross Fire crew attended, and used a hose reel jet to extinguish the tent fire. The remains of the tent, a burnt out laptop, a tyre and many other items of rubbish are still on the site.

A spokesperson for Herefordshire Council told the Ross Gazette that it is not on council-owned land: “is private land so you would need to contact the landowner.” It is the landowner who would be responsible for clearing rubbish. However, they were not able to give out any details regarding the landowner.

To discover who the land belongs to would involve a payment for the Title Register to establish the name(s) of the legal owner(s).
