A recently introduced ‘Report it’ App which aims to make it easier to report problems to Herefordshire Council from your smart device has been praised by several local residents, including a Town Councillor.
The first roll out of the App allows users to report pot holes, with plans to extend this to other ‘report it’ services such as fly tipping and public right of way issues over the coming months.
To report a pot hole - take a picture and upload it directly to the app. The App can automatically pinpoint your location if you are at the problem area.
Your picture and report will be then be sent directly from the App to Herefordshire Council’s Highways team.
Councillor Daniel Lister took to Facebook to praise the App and the quick response of the Herefordshire Highways team. He reported a number of issues including potholes on Wednesday, January 2nd.
The following day, he said that a team had been out to check the issues out and had also marked the road up. He said: “I’d say that’s a good response rate. If you see any issues whatever it may be, it’s quick and easy to report them!”
