A reunion is planned for John Kyrle High School’s class of 2006, at The Royal Hotel on November 19th, and the organisers hope to raise funds for charity in memory of Leeanne Davies, a classmate who died of cancer in 2014.

Harriet Smith, one of the organisers, told the Ross Gazette that everyone who finished sixth form at John Kyrle High School in 2006, or completed their GCSEs in 2004, is very welcome to come to the reunion.

She added that during the reunion, she hopes to fundraise in memory of Leeanne Davies. The profit from the ticket sales will go to Leeanne’s chosen charity; the Michael Cullen Cancer Research Trust, in association with the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.

Leeanne passed away in May 2014; she had been diagnosed with a rare adrenal cancer less than eight months before she died, aged 26.

Ever since, Leeanne’s family and friends have been raising funds for the Michael Cullen Cancer Research Trust, which funds equipment, research and facilities to support patients at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.

The reunion will take place on Saturday, November 19th, at The Royal Hotel in Ross-on-Wye. The evening will begin at 7pm and tickets cost £15. To buy tickets, please visit: buytickets.at/JKHSschoolreunion.

Guests will receive a drink on arrival, a buffet meal, and a raffle ticket. Extra raffle tickets are also available to purchase on the night.
