Despite warnings to visitors to Ross Regatta not to leave items of value in tents, once again this wonderful occasion was marred by the theft of items.

During the afternoon of August 25th several tents belonging to participants in the Regatta were entered and items including wallets, cash and a camera were stolen.

However the police would most like help with tracing two rings, an engagement and a wedding ring which were stolen. The rings are white gold and of great personal value to the owner.

If anyone has any information about these rings, or any of the other thefts, please contact PC Richard Barradale-Smith or PC Liz Bishop at Ross Police Station on 0300 333 3000.
